Ramona was born in Nebraska and has lived in almost every state west of there. Her family moved to Ketchikan in 1967.

In 1970, she married her husband Jeff and followed him around for 22 years until he retired from the Coast Guard. Most of their Coast Guard years were spent in Alaska ( Ketchikan, Kodiak, Cordova, and Sitka).

Ramona enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her extended family, which includes four grandchildren.
