How to Nominate Someone for an Award
Nominations for the 2008 Awards Program are closed. Nomination forms should contain complete contact information on the nominee, an abstract summary of why the candidate is deserving, and a brief essay that describes their experience in the conservation movement.
For the Housberg and Native Writing awards, ACF must receive one or more samples of the nominee's work for consideration.
Candidates for the Wilcher Award must submit an essay which describes the nominee's specific contributions to environmental activism in Alaska. It should also serve as a thought piece on the current and future challenges facing young environmental leaders and describe how the nominee intends to pursue those issues through formal education, work, or personal action and learning.
All nominations are acknowledged. Submissions not receiving an award in the year submitted will be kept on file and will be eligible for consideration for the next two years.
Self-nominations are accepted.
