Programs and Initiatives

Adult grizzly bear submerged in pond, eating plant shoots by AlaskaWildland.com.

To accomplish its mission of protecting intact ecosystems, ACF must identify the gaps in Alaska’s environmental safety and advocacy network and then work with the conservation community to create innovative programs, coalitions, and organizations to fill those gaps. ACF programs provide critical short- and long-term leadership to support the protection of Alaska’s ecosystems, which in turn enhances human health and sustainable livelihoods. Programs and initiatives range from technical assistance for the non-profit community to broad-based ecosystem protection coalitions and other advocacy groups.
